About

Suzanne Longo is a New York-based artist who specializes in abstract painting and printmaking. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Manhattanville College, where she pursued a dual concentration for both painting and printmaking . Her work is characterized by a deep exploration of texture, color, and emotion, creating visual compositions that evoke personal and universal themes.

Suzanne’s abstract pieces often reflect a raw expression of human experience, using varied materials and techniques to convey a sense of depth, movement, and emotion. Whether through the layered richness of paint or the intricate textures of print, her work invites the viewer to engage with the emotional landscape she creates. The interplay of color and texture in her pieces speaks to the complexities of identity, memory, and the human condition. A recurring theme in Suzanne’s practice is the desire to build a bridge between the viewer and their own emotional experience. Through abstract expression, she transforms the intangible into something physical, allowing her audience to confront and connect with the often-confusing landscape of their emotions.

Over the years, Suzanne has been recognized for her innovative approach to abstract art. She has participated in several group exhibitions. She was awarded 3rd place in the Manhattanville College Fagin Award, a testament to her technical skill and innovative approach to abstract art.

Currently, Suzanne continues to push the boundaries of her practice, exploring new methods of abstraction and finding fresh ways to creating art that resonates on both a personal and universal level.
